- Superintendent, Deacon Henry Lewis Sr.
In the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ we welcome you to another quarter of
Biblical Studies.

This Quarter
This quarter has three units tracing the theological theme of hope in both the Hebrew and the Christian Scriptures.

In April
This month, of Unit 1 "RESURRECTION HOPE" we will study several New Testament books: Luke, Acts of the apostles, and 1 and 2 Thessalonians. O Our study begins a week after Easter Sunday with a lesson from Luke 24. We will examine Jesus' appearance to His disciples following His resurrection. The following week, the lesson moves to Acts of the Apostles, focusing on the anointing of the Holy Spirit on the disciples in Jerusalem. The final two lessons of the unit draw on the letters to the church in Thessalonica and consider the hope of the resurrection for believers who anticipate Christ's return.

In May
This month, of Unit 1I "A CALL TO HOLY LIVING" we will spend four lessons in the epistles of the Apostle Peter. These studies focus on the hope that Jews inspires for those who are enduring hardship and suffering. Even though believers will face trials in life that may test their faith, they are called to live worthily for the sake of the Gospel.

In June,
This month, of Unit III "THE PROPHET AND PRAISE" are made up of five lessons of study detailing worship in Jerusalem during the times of Isaiah and Ezra.

We pray that you will begin studying and meditating with a stronger sense of commitment to God and a greater awareness of God's faithfulness to those who listen to obey Him. We pray that you acquire a better understanding and have a greater sensitivity to the sacrifice HE made for you and I.
